THE 992D CATERPILLAR WHEEL LOADER (# 1).

Lhe third model was the object of a very precise choice.
On the one hand the hydraulics of the “773B” truck worked, on the other hand the first model, the “992C”, was not on the same scale as the truck. Why not build a new “992C” loader on the same scale as the truck and if possible with the same hydraulic functions? Note that there was no longer any need to take the dimensional dimensions since the file on the “992C” existed. A new challenge. This charger from the “C” range will be replaced by the “D”, so as not to always produce the same models.
But, if this model will not know the “functional success” of the truck, on the other hand it will benefit from a little more finishes, unsatisfactory on the first two models. Here we are therefore faced with a design change, another philosophy on the aesthetics of models in general. Why this change?
The reasons are few and very simple.
1) The consequence of frequentation of model makers in the various exhibitions and especially the very rich quality of their work.
2) The awareness of an incompatibility between a finish which weakens the model and intensive operation which puts a strain on it in the face of the risk of damage.
Despite the conditions set out above, one could believe that this choice was established at the start of construction.
Well no ! It was as the work progressed that the ideas were put in place.
This model will therefore not experience any operation and thereforetherefore it remains static!
